Falafel Chips

I love falafel, so when I saw they had Falafel Chips, I knew I had to try them.  Created out of Garbanzo beans, and corn, the chips are said to blended with spices and veggies, and are great as dippers for hummus and tzatziki among many other dips.  I ran out and bought a bag.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised.  They tasted really good.  They seemed to be somewhat 'stale', but I found when did use them as a dipper for hummus or tzatziki, they blended really well with those tastes.  I don't know if I would buy a bag just to munch on, but if I was serving those dips, I would definitely use these as an accompaniment.

Maybe a bit pricey for the size of the bag, but worth the try.

On a scale of one to five, I would give them a 3 1/2.  Enjoy!

Trader Joe's recently opened in Spokane, Washington.  The community was waiting anxiously for it, and many people even stood in line for hours prior to its opening.  While I had been to a Trader Joe's before, I wasn't interested in standing in line, in fact, I was determined not to go to Trader Joe's until the 'newness' wore out, to avoid crowds and long lines.  I did really well at avoiding Trader Joe's in the early weeks, then I received their flyer, the Fearless Flyer, in the mail.  It reads like a newspaper with amazing descriptions of the products they are featuring for that particular flyer.  I was hooked, I had to go to Trader Joe's as soon as possible to purchase many of the items in the flyer.

What I found was, many of the things lived up to the delectable descriptions, many items fell short, and one has been downright inedible.

This got me to thinking, maybe I should write about the products I have tried, and give my honest opinion.  Maybe some of you out there have the same tastes as I do.... So read and enjoy, I hope you find some foods you may enjoy, and avoid ones that may not be worth the $.
